Call For Back-Up (Technique Blog Hop)

For the Technique Blog Hop this month, we are showing using the "Call for Back-Up" technique shown on page 80 of Close To My Heart Annual Inspirations.

If you arrived from the Heartfelt Sentiments blog, then follow along with the link at the bottom of this post to continue the Technique Blog Hop

Following Pattern #25 in Make It From Your Heart Volume 2, this card uses the stamp set from Blossom Cardmaking Workshop-on-the-Go along with papers from the Snowhaven kit.  Even though the theme of Snowhaven is winter, the papers are versatile enough to use for many other projects as well.  For the "Call for Back-Up" technique, the Chevron punch was used on a piece of Glacier cardstock and then placed on top of a strip of Red Shimmer Trim.  To add a bit of dimension to the 'happy birthday' sentiment, a Circle Glass Cover from the Base & Bling collection was added.

Please visit Wendy's "My Scrapbooking Blog" blog for another entry in this month's Technique Blog Hop.
