Choose Happy (March SOTM Blog Hop)

Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop.  This month the featured stamp set is Choose Happy, with frames, borders, and accents which have a "hand doodled" appearance.  See all the images in the stamp set in the picture at the bottom of this post.

If you have come here from the My Heartfelt Sentiments blog, you are on the right path!  Blog Hopping is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one!

Inspired by a video shared on the @CTMHCorp Instagram feed a few months ago, this frame from the Choose Happy stamp set was embossed using a mixture of Silver and Gold powders.  The sleepy cat image from Cuddly Salutations was stamped using Black ink and a calico coat created using a Pointillism technique.  Using five different ShinHan Touch Twin markers (Pastel Peach, Light Orange, Mahogany, Clay, and Bronze), small dots of each marker color were dabbed on the image.  By slightly overlapping the different colors, they blend together well to create a unique color pattern.  This technique was shared at a recent CTMH Dream Team Consultant meeting, and I thought it would work well to for a calico cat.  Patterned papers from both the Wanderful and Hopscotch kits were added to a card base of Flaxen cardstock.  A border image from the Choose Happy SOTM was stamped twice, and some Metallic Baker's Twine adds another bit of gold color to the card.  The sketch for the card is pattern #24 in Make It From Your Heart Volume 2.

Place a $50 minimum order this month (March 2015) and you are eligible to purchase the Choose Happy stamp set for only $5, or you can purchase it at the full price of $17.95 without a qualifying order.

Now "Hop" on over to The Inky Scrapper blog to see her work.  Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their blogs to get some great crafting inspiration and other fun ideas.

Think Pink!

A quick card created for the "Think Pink" challenge on the Heart 2 Heart Challenges blog.  Using a Pixie paper from the Whimsy Paper Fundamentals, along with a strip of White Shimmer Trim, adds just enough detail to the card.  To continue the pink theme, a 'thanks' sentiment from the For a Friend stamp set was embossed using Pixie pigment ink and the card was assembled based on CAS(E) this Sketch! (CTS112).

My Love Affair With Paper ~ "Use Your Stash" Blog Hop

This month, those of us participating in the "Use Your StashBlog Hop dug into our paper stash to show you our "Love Affair With Paper."  So you will see a wide variety of projects and colors while visiting each post along the Blog Hop.

If you have come here from NJ Stamping Queenyou are right on track for the "Use Your Stash" Blog Hop.  Blog Hopping is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one, or visit each blog from the list at the end of this post.

Actually I did not dig very far into my paper stash, just deep enough to find the Year>>Noted paper which was a special during the month of January for National Papercrafting Month. Since shiny gold stickers were an accent for this kit, I used Princess Gold embossing powder for the stamp image which is from the Wanderful Scrapbooking WOTG kit.  For a bit more shine, some Gold Shimmer Trim was used along with some Baker's Twine which includes a gold thread.  This month's enTWINEd challenge on the Heart 2 Heart Challenges blog provided inspiration along with Freshly Made Sketches (FMS174).

Now "Hop" on over to Wendy's My Scrapbooking Blog for more projects using our paper stash.

Music To The Eyes (Technique Blog Hop)

For the Technique Blog Hop this month, we are using the Music To The Eyes technique featured on page 34 of the Close To My Heart Annual Inspirations book and catalog.

If you arrived from Lisa's Flaunt Your Creativity blog, then follow along with the link at the bottom of this post to continue the Technique Blog Hop

The Circle Spin Cards from CTMH are 5"x7" and include a focal point die-cut circle that spins!  To decorate the front of the card, several different images from the Honeycomb stamp set were stamped using Lagoon, Smoothie, and Honey inks.  Then the Marvy Journaling Pen was used to outline each honeycomb shape.  Stamping the 'thanks' image from You Mean the World To Me in Black and adding a square of Black cardstock to the inside of the card unites all of the colors.

Please visit Wendy's My Scrapbooking Blog blog for another entry in this month's Technique Blog Hop featuring Music To The Eyes journaling pen technique.

Spotlight on Seasonal Expressions 1 ~ Stampers with an Attitude (Blog Hop)

This month, some members of our Stampers With An Attitude team are featuring products available in the Seasonal Expressions 1 catalog.  Some of the products, including the two paper packets, are only available through the end of March 2015.

If you have come here from the If You Bling It ...  blog, you are on the right path!  Blog Hopping is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one, or visit each blog from the list at the end of this post.

When I saw the Eiffel Tower image in the Amour stamp set, I knew it would be one of my favorites.  For this card, it is embossed using Silver Fine Detail embossing powder and matted with some Silver Glitter Paper for a bit more shine.  To add some texture to the card background, the new Diamond Embossing Folder was used.  And the Blue Shimmer Trim adds a pop of color.

Now "Hop" on over to Inspired By D to see more artwork featuring products in the Seasonal Expressions 1 catalog.
